Is this even possible!?
Yes! aaaaand no.
It will cost you time but if you do it right…it will boost the traffic to your website without throwing money at it.
Now there are a few steps to achieve this and the first one is to make sure you’re following my blog so you get the best marketing tips & tricks to stay ahead of your competition.
It’s an unfair advantage and makes getting customers from your competition as easy as stealing candy from a baby.
Let’s get into this.
Create compelling content.
This is a big step and if done right will massively boost the traffic to your landing page. You have to keep a few key factors in mind:
Make it catchy and snappy.
What the hell does that even mean? well…I’ve talked about this in other articles but we live in a TikTok-hive-minded society and people have the attention span of a child walking into Disneyland.
There is so much to focus on and sooo much to see that it takes just 3 seconds for them to decide…NEXT.
In those first crucial seconds you need to snare them and keep them there.
Don’t be salesy, don’t be creepy and don't lie.
This sounds easy but there are a lot of companies that don’t follow this rule and building trust with your customers and actually giving them something of value is the best way to do that.
Share content on social networks.
There are billions of people on this earth and the vast majority use some kind of social media.
This means that your perfect customer is probably online and creating content is a good way to be noticed and generate traffic to your website.
Don’t forget…
The same key factors from point 1 apply here.
Connect with discussions.
Now for the love of God and the flying spaghetti monster don’t…DON’T get into discussions when there is negativity involved.
Responding to content and giving people value is very helpful in building your “online presence”.
Don’t get me started on that one but as a free tactic… it can help.
Optimise, but use keywords with flair.
When you create your website you want to use certain words that will be used in google searches and is called SEO optimisation (Search Engine Optimisation).
This will give Google the ability to “promote” your website as a search hit for those words.
Now this doesn’t mean that you just throw words all over your website to get as many hits as possible. As with all ads, posts and websites..
Copy is king!
Add titles and meta descriptions.
This gets more into the technical side of this list and it’s also part of SEO.
When you use photo’s on your website, you can name them and even give a description for them.
These names and descriptions will be hidden from every visitor but not from Google.
Remember those search hits I was talking about?
Yes this works on that as well.
Get Backlinks.
Another example of SEO. Do you notice a trend here? SEO is very important and helpful for your business.
Backlinks are links to your website from another website.
If you sell dog toys, your link should be on dog forums. It will create authority and Google will notice it.
Yes…Google sees all of it.
You can place them yourself but most companies will buy them so this is a semi false point on this list.
Don’t spam them everywhere because…
Google will see it as cheating and let’s be real, no one likes a cheater.
Build an e-mail list.
The last point on this list will provide you with customers for months and even years to come.
If a potential customer gets to your website, ask for their email address.
If a customer buys something from you, ask for their email address.
if you have any connection whatsoever with someone online… you guessed it,
GET THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS.
You can send out weekly emails to them providing free value and because they are already interested in your product, the chance of them buying something from you is much higher.
